So this simple and pretty cake is for my Mother-in-law's Birthday dinner tonight.  I saw this design online and loved the simplicity and delicacy of it.  I'll have to do it a few more times to get better but still liked how it turned out.  It's a lemon cake with a lemon/lemoncello simple syrup and a lemon/lemomcello buttercream.  Yumm!

XBOX Cake!!

So I got to do an XBOX cake for a client the other day.  This cake was actually a ton of fun to make.  I had never even seen an xbox so I relied alot on pictures from the xbox website.  It was a dark chocolate cake with a fudge filling and chocolate buttercream frosting.  Oh - and the shine would have gone down after the pictures were taken.  I had just done it and was zipping it off to the clients but I normally leave the cake for a few hours before photographing it if I'm adding shine.
